Connor at 10 months

What with Christian starting school and us getting used to a new morning routine, it's been easy to miss how quickly our littlest one is growing.

Brothers

Connor turned 10 months old yesterday. And the little Mister is such a great bundle of energy and it's such a privilege watching him grow.

He's crawling at a super fast speed, pulling himself up, cruising, climbing stairs and outgrowing that stranger and separation anxiety that hit us hardest around his 7th month.

I own the playground

Sleep-wise, we're quite pleased that he goes down at around 7.30pm and wakes around 7am in the morning (I some times have to wake him as we need to get ready to send Christian to school).

As for naps, he's still on two to three naps - a short late morning nap (around 45mins at 10am), a long nap (about 2 hours from 1pm to 3pm) and possibly another short one (about 45 mins at about 4.30pm)

We've been a bit more lax about his bedtime lately, especially on weekends, so he might go around 8-8.30pm - guess as long as he's sleeping about 14 hours a day at this age, we're happy campers!

When it comes to food, my gosh, this little fella is definitely giving his big bro a run for his money. He slurps up his cereal, porridge, and loves taking bits of our food - rice, bread, and basically anything that comes off our plate, he'll assume it's yummy. I've even peeled off bits of chicken to let him gum and it all just vanishes.

Oh, and teeth count at the moment stands at eight - four at the top and four below!

Cheeky bugger

Things between the brothers are getting, well, interesting. I think Christian is beginning to see Connor as a proper playmate - he imitates the way Connor laughs, claps along with him and such - but then also sees him as competition to his toys! Which of course leaves us to much chagrin when they're going for a particular plaything at the same time (which for some reason, is ALWAYS the case!)

Although we think we know what to expect as he's our second, Connor never fails to surprise us with his antics. He's got the most adorable grin which he dishes out to everyone, and loves to "show off" his new skills like clapping, waving his arms and tapping his head.

Love you Baby Connor! All too soon, you'll be turning one!
All smiles in the morn!

Birds Nest Ring Pillow

Now most jewellery shops would throw in a free ring pillow when you purchase a pair of wedding bands.

They would look something like this.

Pretty little things they are.

But when I saw this in a bridal magazine, I absolutely fell in love with it.

Birds Nest Ring Pillows!

The rustic colours and details are just so beautiful.

I'm totally going to make myself one!

Inspiration Board

Been thinking about the wedding colours and came up with the above inspiration board. I absolutely love the richness of the two colours!

I especially love the olive green dress on the right. It's going to be the colour of my bridesmaid's dresses.

Speaking of which, went shopping with Grace recently and narrowed down the choices of dresses for the girls. Will go show them to Cheryl and Shireen soon.

Aside from that, pretty much confirmed my own wedding dresses and got our rings as well.

Also got an eye on a pretty good tailor for Ewan's suits. Yay!

********

I was flipping through some quotes on marriage that Cheryl gave me for Christmas, and this one stood out:

'I dreamed of a wedding of elaborate elegance. A church filled with family and friends. I asked him what kind of a wedding he wished for. He said one that would make me his wife.'

Heh. Better not get carried away with all the non-necessities. =p

Lots to do

It's been an eventful and quite overwhelming few months... Wedding preparations!

1. Bought a place in Fernvale near Jalan Kayu (yums) ... hopefully we can move in before the wedding.

2. Booked a hotel for the Wedding dinner.

3. Booked the Church for the Wedding Mass and lunch reception. Got to design invites, Mass booklets, and look for a caterer soon. Blessed with wonderful friends and relatives who have agreed to help with the decor - heheh, my grandad used to own a bridal boutique, so I've got aunts who are well adept at wedding decor :)

4. Got a photographer for the actual day, and Ben is taking our pre-wedding shots. He's super talented and got awesome ideas. Can't wait!

5. Need to look for our outfits. Daunting task, but should be fun... just got to keep telling myself not to do things last minute. Also got to get dresses for my beautiful bridesmaids Shireen, Cheryl and Grace. :)

6. Rings - need to shop for them soon.

7. Lots lots more!

On a side note, I've been addicted to all these wedding websites and magazines that have got DIY projects and cute decoration ideas. HAVE to try my hand with some of them BEFORE the wedding is over.

Anyway, the date is set for the 31st of July :)
